A Thank You and A Treat

Sisters,  

We have no words to express our gratitude to all of you who came out to the Relief Society Activity last night.  Thank you for all your plants and sheets and food--such good food!--and for helping to make the evening the best it could be.  It was such a treat to be able to put together that activity for you. 

 As I said before, I have no doubt that last night's program was a gift from our Heavenly Father to his daughters.  I love that we have such a kind Father who wants to throw us a party--something extra special--just because he loves us.  For those of you who have sent emails and verbally expressed your gratitude to the Relief Society Activity Board, we thank you!  I strongly encourage you to say Thank You to Him for such a special  night.  

As a treat for you, I've decided to upload the video slide show we watched last night onto the blog so that you can see it again, show it to the sisters you visit teach that may not have been there, or  just watch again and absorb the beauty of the sisters in our ward!  Enjoy!  

Get Your House In Order Pt. 1

Sisters,

We are excited to bring you part one in our series of activities focused on helping you get your houses in order.  We have been counseled by the Prophet for over a decade that this is the time to get our homes/lives together so that we may prepare for the future and be ready when upsets occur.

Part one is focused on financial planning.  Due to the wonders of modern technology we will be able to have virtual visitors speak to us:  Diane Brooks will be Skyping in brothers, both of whom are financial planners.

We hope you all can make it.  There will be babysitting available, and of course refreshments.  We encourage you to send in questions you may want answered to Diane at bendianebrooks@gmail.com so that she may forward them to her brothers and they can be prepared for us.

Back by popular demand, our "Getting to Know You" is back for Season 2!

We are excited to get to know more about the sisters in our ward through speed chatting and fun spotlight interviews.  Also, to tempt you, will be a sweet Hot Cocoa/Apple Cider Bar.  Starbucks has nothing on the Relief Society when it comes to making gourmet drinks!  :)

We are asking for volunteers to interview fellow sisters, and we'd also like you all to bring along your favorite snack food to share  (and for those of you doing the Healthy Challenge thing, this is a great way to share your new favorite healthy snacks!).
